Andrea Nichols

Senior Pilates instructor, Studio Owner

Andrea discovered the endless benefits of Pilates when knee pain forced her to stop her typical fitness routines in early 2008. Pilates was unlike anything she had ever experienced and her immediate love led her to enroll in a Pilates Apprentice program before the end of 2008 and later complete a Pilates training program.

In 2014, while managing a local Pilates Studio in Fort Mill, Andrea applied and was accepted into Lolita San Miguel’s two-year Pilates Master Mentor Program in Florida. Lolita trained with Joseph Pilates while a Prima Ballerina in New York, NY and was one of only two people to receive a Pilates Teaching Certificate directly from Joseph Pilates himself, making Lolita a First Generation Pilates Teacher. When Andrea graduated the PMMP in 2017 as a Second Generation Pilates Teacher, she was then invited to complete the invitation-only teacher training program, Lolita’s Legacy. Upon completion of the Legacy training, Andrea now has the honor to teach and train other teachers within the Pilates industry.

Andrea is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and has three specializations within the field; Corrective Exercise Specialization, Fitness Nutrition Specialization and Mindset Coaching.

Melissa Crawford

Senior Pilates Instructor, Studio Manager

Melissa has been a student of Pilates for over 25 years. Her own personal relationship with the method led her to complete a two-year teaching mentorship program from 2010 to 2012. She later completed the prestigious full apparatus Pilates certification from Balance Body Pilates.

Melissa’s passion for Pilates comes from the deep mind-body connection experienced in every session as well as the unique Pilates community she has been a part of for the last two decades. Since joining Pilates Cure Studio, Melissa has expanded her certifications to also include TRX Suspension Training and BBarreless.

Melissa is also a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and has a specialization in the field of women’s Fitness (WFS.)

ashley kaskowicz

pilates instructor

Ashley first discovered Pilates while living in Charleston, SC in 2009 where she was a middle school teacher. She was immediately drawn to the Pilates Method, because unlike the other forms of exercise she had tried, Pilates did not aggravate the foot injury she sustained in a car wreck years earlier. Pilates quickly became the tool she used to strengthen her body and calm her mind. Ashley holds a Master’s degree in teaching secondary education social studies, so her passion for teaching and Pilates quickly collided. Ashley completed her full mat Pilates and comprehensive Pilates apparatus certification from Carrie Pages’ In Balance Pilates Certification program in 2010. She went on to teach Pilates in Charleston, SC until moving back home to Fort Mill in 2012. Ashley taught Pilates once back in Fort Mill until she made the decision to spend her time with her expanding family while they were young. Nothing could keep Ashley from teaching Pilates for too long though! She is excited to be a part of the Pilates Cure team (again) where she shares her love of both Pilates and teaching every day with her clients and colleagues.

Ginger Cannon

Pilates Instructor

Ginger has been practicing Pilates for 20-plus years, starting with mat and then moving into group reformer and private Pilates sessions. What originally attracted her to the Pilates method was the mind-body connection, the knowledge that Pilates is a long-term sustainable practice, as well as finding her own health improving the longer she kept up the practice of Pilates. In 2013, Ginger began working toward completing the comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program from Balanced Body. Despite having to step away from her pursuit of teaching Pilates for a few years, she remained active as a student and her passion for Pilates only grew through two pregnancies and now the stressors of motherhood. Ginger has recently continued working toward the completion of becoming a comprehensively trained Pilates Teacher through Balance Body. Ginger became a client of Pilates Cure upon moving to Fort Mill in 2019 with her family and we are happy to have her join our team as an Apprentice Teacher as she completes her certification process. Prior to moving to Fort Mill, Ginger lived in Charleston, SC where she completed a Masters in Counselor Education and served as the Director of School Counseling.
